What is Microblading?

Micro-blading is a form of tattooing. It is done with a manual pen and a set of very fine needles, implanting pigment under the skin, to create a realistic eyebrow appearance. As a result, beautiful hair-like strokes give you a soft and natural look, as well as defined eyebrows.

Are You a Candidate for Microblading?

Microblading is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. Microblading can help shape, define, and improve your existing brows. However, Microblading is not ideal for individuals with specific medical conditions that could put you at a risk for infection.

You are NOT a candidate for Micro-blading if:

  • You are not at least 18 years old.

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • You have had radiation or chemotherapy in the six months to 1 year prior to the procedure.

  • You have a bleeding disorder, are on blood thinners, have a history of keloid scarring, are immunocompromised, or have any other medical condition that puts you at an increased risk for bleeding, infection, and delayed wound healing.

Please note: Individuals should not consume alcohol or engage in drug activity prior to receiving the treatment.  If you are using any medications or have any medical conditions that put you at a heightened risk for infection and delayed wound healing such as diabetes, please consult with your doctor if the procedure is right for you.  A doctor’s note stating that you are eligible for micro-blading may be necessary in some cases.

How Long Does It Last?

Micro-blading lasts roughly 1-3 years or more in terms of how long it takes for most of the pigment to fade.  There is no guarantee that the pigment will fade out completely over time.  Fading of strokes varies depending on various lifestyle factors and the client's skin type.  For most clients, an annual touch up is recommended to ensure that the color and shape of their new brows are maintained.
